This Inventor Rejected On The Dragons’ Den Show Is Now Richer Than All Of Them Put Together
When inventors are rejected by the judges on the show at Dragons’ Den it sort of means that it’s the end of the road for them.
Shaun Pulfrey faced the Dragons in a bid to raise £80,000 in exchange for a 15 per cent share in his young company, Tangle Teezer.
Yes, you’ve heard of the tangle teezer because its frikkin famous. The then Dragons – Deborah Meaden, Theo Paphitis, Peter Jones, Duncan Bannatyne and James Caan – listened to his pitch, and unanimously declared that they were ‘out’.
The dragons thought the idea was ‘hair-brained’, ‘a waste of time’, and resembling a ‘horse brush’, and basically told Pulfrey and his Tangle Teezer to be gone.
But look at him now! He’s now set to be worth a whopping £200 million, the Mirror reports. That is because he did not let the bad experience stop him. Shortly after appearing on the BBC2 show, Pulfrey’s Tangle Teezer become a global phenomenon sold in 70 countries, counting Victoria Beckham, Cara Delavigne and Emma Watson among its fans even having Nicole Scherzinger endorses it.
